Means of Reconciliation

This Youth Sunday Minister Huzzy preached a message concerning reconciliaton. He opened by offering the guiding thought: "What Christians do when they make a "boo-boo...". The scripture reference was 1 JOHN 1:9*.

Synopsis: What do you do when you fall? Do you question if you can get back up? We all come to a point sometimes, when we feel caught between a rock and a hard place. Because we are human, we will make mistakes in life, but make no mistake about it, God's grace will pick us up when we do. The remedy for reconciliation is in His word*.

So, what should Christians do when they make a "boo-boo"?

1. CONFESSION: It is very important when we make a mistake that we acknowledge it. We must own what we have done, and apologize for those mistakes. Confess your sins to the Lord - tell Him your sorrows, and He will rescue you.

2. ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES: God will be both faithful and just. There will always be consequences when we mess up. God puts these consequences in place to help us remember not to do it again.

Remember that God forgives always. He has brought us mighty long way, let us not forget where He brought us from. God will not only forgive us for our sins, but He will cleanse us from all unrightousness. He will free us and rid us from all of the shame. God holds NO grudges.
